Reservations at ICEL
Room Reservation
The Social Hall at the Islamic Center may be reserved by registered community members for private events for $1200. Maximum capacity is 250. Doors will be closed once capacity is reached.

Location - The Social Hall is located in the lower level of the school wing of the building.
Entrance - Main doors of the Greater Lansing Islamic School wing of the building
Maximum capacity - 250. The main door will be locked by the security once the capacity of 250 (including children) is reached.
See section below if you have more than 250 guests.
What is included in the full package ($1200):
Entire Social Hall with (6 ft wide round) tables and chairs to seat 250 people.
A coffee nook with two percolators (bring your own tea/coffee/creamer/sweeteners)
1 Portable Speaker, 1 Microphone, 1 Projector & Screen upon request with advance notice.
Access to facility and staging area for serving food - 4:30 pm.
Access to refrigerator and freezer in the kitchen in the Islamic Center (upstairs) 24 hours prior
Food warmers
Venue for Breaking of the fast at adan time (different than the venue for iftar):
Men - in the masjid area.
Women - Gym upstairs. Chairs will be set.
Milk, water and dates will be provided by the Islamic Center for all the guests.
No appetizers will be permitted in the gym.
Venue for iftar meal after maghreb prayer: Social Hall
Guests may enter the Social Hall area only after the maghreb prayer.
Supplies
The Islamic Center will provide the following supplies
Styrofoam Sectional plates, quarter plates. dessert bowls, plastic spoon, forks, napkins, 25 one-gallon water jars, 8 oz cups, serving spoons
Food warmer boxes.
You may elect to bring your own supplies if you wish.
We strongly discourage use of single use water bottles. A $100 disposal fee will apply if you elect to use single use water bottles.

Not more than 250 guests including children.
If you have more than 250 guests, you may avail one of the following two options:
1. You may avail an separate weekday reservation (subject to availability) at no additional cost to you to help you accommodate the guests over 250.
2. Or you may host women & children in the Social Hall (max 250), and men in the masjid area for an additional cost of $300 and must also provide the iftar for about 150 singles (women will be directed to the Social Hall (estimated around 25))
Payment terms
Reservations must be made minimum of 72 hours prior to event date
Full Payment via this form must be received within 48 hours of submitting the reservation request. Appointments will be automatically cancelled if payment is not received within the 48 hours.
Cancellation Terms
You may cancel the booking by emailing booking@lansingislam.com and requesting a refund.
A full refund will be issued if cancellation notice is received 15 days prior to event.
Up to 10 days from event date - 75% refund, up to 5 days - 50% refund, 1 day prior to event 25%
If the venue booked by someone else, for the date you cancel, a full refund will be issued regardless of when you choose to cancel.
Booking Confirmation
Reserving the venue is not guaranteed until the full payment is received, at which point an email notification will be sent out confirming the booking.
Parking Limitation on certain days
The next door University Lutheran Church parking is not available on all Friday evenings of Ramadan - March 7, 14, 21, 28
Before you make the payment,
make sure you change the fee in the section labelled
"Help keep Zeffy free for Islamic Society of Greater Lansing 💜 (optional)"
This is a donation to the payment portal provider and not the Islamic Center. You can change the amount from $0 to any percentage you wish to donate to Zeffy.
Also, we encourage payment by ACH (using your checking account and routing number)
